When the King dies, it is his children who decide what of him survives. Following the death of legendary blues musician Cornell "Titan" King, five estranged siblings gather at their father's Florida estate expecting answers, closure, and a final piece of the man who shaped their lives. At the dinner table, family stories collide with myth,and they are forced to confront the legacy he leaves behind and the people they have become in his shadow. Blending Southern Gothic storytelling, Black folklore, Greek mythology, and original music, When Kingdom Comes is a captivating new play about family, memory, survival, and the stories we inherit.

Niveah Glover
Niveah Glover is a writer, poet, and playwright whose work explores identity, Black womanhood, and Southern culture. A student at Howard University pursuing a B.A. in English, she is the 2024 U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts, the 2024 National Poetry Out Loud Champion, and a two-time Florida State Poetry Out Loud Champion. Her play Callas recently concluded at Jacksonville Arts and Music School, where it received rave reviews.
Niveah has developed original work as a festival playwright with the New South Young Playwrights Festival at Horizon Theatre and has performed nationally and internationally, including headlining the Poetry by Heart Festival in London. She has also contributed to the African American Writing Institute, the Jacksonville Mayor’s Office Arts, Culture, and Entertainment Committee, and Yellow House Gallery. Through writing, performance, and community engagement, Niveah continues to use her craft to inspire and connect audiences.
Director Bio
Jereme Raickett
Jereme Raickett is a multidisciplinary theatre artist, director, and arts education advocate with nearly two decades of experience in performance, production, and community engagement across Jacksonville and beyond.
Jereme is the Founder and Executive Director of Artistic Journeys International (AJI), a nonprofit dedicated to bilateral cultural exchange in the performing arts. Through AJI's flagship PACE (Performance Arts Cultural Exchange) program, he has built lasting partnerships with artists and institutions in Gqeberha, South Africa, including Nelson Mandela University and the Eastern Cape Dance Festival, bringing Jacksonville youth and South African collaborators together on both sides of the exchange. He also produces the Ubuntu Youth Arts Festival in Gqeberha, and serves as Jacksonville Sister Cities Association's Municipal Representative to Nelson Mandela Bay, helping guide the city-to-city relationship that underpins much of this international work.
On the national level, Jereme serves on the board of the American Association of Community Theatre (AACT), where he leads the Youth Playwriting Competition, supporting young playwrights on their path toward AACTFest.
Jereme is a teaching artist with Cathedral Arts Project and has taught, directed, and designed for organizations throughout Jacksonville, including Don't Miss A Beat, Sanctuary on 8th, Jacksonville Arts and Music School (JAMS), DanceLook, North Florida School of Special Education, and NAACP ACT-SO. He spent over a decade as Artistic Director and Production Manager at Players by the Sea, and continues to perform, direct, and design regionally, including recent work on stage at Alhambra Theatre & Dining.
A proud alumnus of Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, Jereme believes the arts are essential tools for building confidence, fostering creativity, and opening doors of opportunity for young people.
