The JAMS Black Box Theatre is a flexible, 2,600-square-foot venue designed to host a wide range of events — from intimate performances and rehearsals to meetings, auditions, and presentations. Featuring a 36-foot by 15-foot stage elevated 2 feet off the ground, the space provides an immersive, up-close experience for every guest.

The official capacity is 180 seated, with flexibility based on stage configuration and table setup.
Rental Details
Standard Rental Period: Full-day rental (up to 8 hours including setup, event, and breakdown). All events must conclude by midnight. Additional load-out time can be arranged with management in advance.
Rehearsal/Load-In Day:
Reserve the day prior to your event for load-in or rehearsal (up to 8 hours) based on availability.
Rental Rates
Additional Requirements
Insurance: All renters must provide proof of general liability insurance with coverage of at least $1,000,000, naming JAMS as an additional insured party. Documentation must be submitted at least 7 days prior to the event.
Catering & Bar: Renters may bring in their own caterer and/or bar service. Beer and wine may be served (at no charge) with insurance coverage. For liquor or cash bars, a licensed and insured bar service is required.
Security: Event security needs will be determined in partnership with JAMS staff. For high-capacity or late-night events, JAMS may require off-duty Jacksonville Sheriff Officers (JSO) at the renter’s expense.
Booking Process

Confirm date availability with JAMS.

Submit a non-refundable deposit of $500 to secure your date.

Sign the rental agreement provided by JAMS.

Remaining balance and insurance documentation are due no later than 1 week prior to the event.

Cancellations within 10 business days of the event require payment in full.
